Privacy Notice for MIS 2014-2020 and SAIS (STATE AID INFORMATION SYSTEM)
The Ministry of Development and Investments considers the protection of personal data very important and for this purpose complies with the provisions of applicable law. The purpose of this policy is to inform data subjects about the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation 679/2016 (hereinafter, "GDPR"), the rights of data subjects and the procedures followed by the Ministry of Development and Investments and are consistent with the GDPR.
1. Collection and processing of personal data
The Ministry of Development and Investment, processes personal data relating to the management of the programs of the Partnership Agreement 2014-2020 (hereinafter, PA 2014-2020) and the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area (hereinafter, EEA FM) and exercise the evaluation and control as with regard to this management. The support of the processing of these personal data is carried out by the Monitoring Information System (hereinafter, MIS 2014-2020) and the State Aid Information System (hereinafter, SAIS). The personal data processed by the Ministry of Development and Investments concern beneficiaries of programs and employees of beneficiaries, implementing bodies, managing authorities, program managers and intermediaries, and include in particular: name, surname, father’s name, telephone, e-mail, VAT number, tax authority, Social Security Number, date of birth, gender, contact address, job / specialty, curriculum vitae, criminal records, employer certificates, proof of study and professional experience, unemployment start date, unemployment card number, employment status, education status, educational level, and data on inclusion in disadvantaged people / vulnerable group.
2. Purpose of processing personal data
The collection and processing of personal data in the MIS 2014-2020 and the SAIS (State Aid Information System) is done exclusively for the following purpose: the management of programs and the exercise of evaluation and control in relation to such management.
3. Legal basis for the processing of personal data
The processing of personal data in the MIS 2014-2020 and the SAIS (State Aid Monitoring System) is based on three legal bases of processing:
§ It is necessary to ensure the legal interest of the Ministry of Development and Investments
§ It is necessary for the execution of the contract
§ It is necessary for the completion of duties performed in the public interest or during the exercise of public authority assigned to the Ministry of Development and Investments as responsible for data processing
4. Duration of personal data retention
The personal data are kept in accordance with the existing provisions defined by Law 4314/2014 and Law 4624/2019.
5. Recipients of personal data
The Ministry of Development and Investments, in the context of the processing purpose it implements, may disclose the personal data it processes to: Ministry of Digital Governance (for the purposes of the Transparency Program), Ministry for the Protection of the Citizen, Ministry of Finance, Committee on Financial Control, National Transparency Authority, General Directorate of Public Investments.
6. Sources of personal data, other than data subjects
The Ministry of Development and Investments, in the context of the processing purpose it implements, may collect personal data processed from the following data sources: Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Digital Governance, Independent Public Revenue Authority, Manpower Employment Organization.
7. Rights of data subjects
The Ministry of Development and Investments ensures the rights of data subjects that are being processed under the MIS 2014-2020 and the SAIS (State Aid Information System) regarding the processing of their personal data and takes care of the facilitation of the exercise of their rights. Data subjects have the right to request:
1 Access to their personal data and information on what data they are processing, the purpose of the processing, the recipients and the duration of the processing;
2 Correction of their personal data in case it is inaccurate or incomplete,
3 Deletion of their personal data, if the legal conditions are met,
4 Portability of their data, ie to receive the data they have provided in a structured, commonly used format or to request their direct transmission to a third party.
8. Data Protection Supervisor

9. Authorized Supervisor
In case the data subjects consider that their rights are violated, they have the right to appeal to the Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr, 2106475600).
